K. Bala Chandran

Bala was with ADC India Communications (formerly KRONE) heading its Publicly listed South Asian operations, joining it almost from its inception in 1991. In his tenure of over two decades, he has been involved in conceiving and launching several product lines in Copper, Fibre & Wireless for Telecom & IT Network Infrastructure. His rich experience prior to ADC, in building sales – ‘ground-up’ in high-vacuum technology and industrial cleaning systems domains, helped him build a vibrant multi-function team in India and neighbouring markets.

Bala

Having stepped down from his final role at ADC India as a Chairman & Managing Director in 2011, he now Consults for Electro Power Systems SpA, Italy in the Renewable Energy space. He has been steering local engineering, business development, & strategy advocacy for the company’s Hydrogen-based Fuel Cells, which incidentally was recognized as a ‘Technology Pioneer 2012’ by the World Economic Forum.

With an academic background in Physics & Management, Bala has undergone professional training across several organizational functions covering Sales Management, Quality, Finance & Strategy. He loves blending corporate culture & spirituality as much as combining pure science with technology.

P. Suresh Kumar

Experience

Suresh is CEO and Director of Graceful Growth Consulting (India) Pvt Ltd, which he founded in 2012. He  trains, consults and coaches organizations that are looking for breakthrough operational excellence and business growth & Innovation. He is currently focusing his efforts for enabling innovation and  business growth skills  for  business owners and leaders.  Contrary to the typical business consultants who provide broad ideas and solution proposals for a problem, his engagements include helping implement at least one cycle of change targeted by the assignment. All his trainings are based on case study approach. He and his team are quite adept with practices (ToC, FTR, Lean) and process tool implementations (ERP, CRM) to improve performance in various industries.

Suresh has over 35 years of industry experience that  include several years of senior leadership roles  in organizational/ business development, customer facing and operational excellence, with a significant piece of it belongs to  hands on experience in technology areas in the communications and computing, defence equipment development industry. Before taking up the entrepreneurial shift in 2010,  Suresh worked as Director for R&D, Engineering, Operational Excellence and Business development functions for 10 years,  managing many of company’s global software functions  in India, (as part of his 15+years of career with Hewlett Packard). Before joining HP, Suresh was with the Defence R&D Organization as a Scientist and engineering leader for the software/hardware product developments for the military voice/data networking equipment.  He also held senior positions at Tata Elxsi and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

Suresh’s achievements include doubling a dozen SME organizations of various industry verticals,  setting up and maturing several Product & Services organizations, a business wide program in achieving the SEICMM Level 5 which was the first effort in globally in Hewlett Packard. Throughout his career,  he is recognized for establishing “grace and ease” in execution for organizations, and grooming leaders for high performance.

Suresh is in the advisory board of many of his clients and mentors startups in his spare time. He is also a visiting faculty of XLRI, Jamshedpur and also delivers guest lectures in local educational institutions. One of his most popular programs is creating advanced skills on using easily available tools like spreadsheets  for productivity improvement significantly reducing waste cycles in initial analytics efforts, and on MIS/reporting activities.

Education

Suresh holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from NIT Calicut and a  Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay. He is also a graduate of “The General Manger Program”, at Harvard Business School, Harvard, Massachusetts.
